Shrinkage printing is, with printing method, to put some chemicals, which can make fiber swell or shrink,  on the part of fabric. After suitable treatment, the printed fiber part will expand or shrink, which is different from the unprinted fiber part. So, the product will show rugged but regular pattern on the surface, such as, the pure cotton printing seersucker which use caustic soda as the swelling agent. This is also named Rugged Printing.
